Building the second floor...

Been a few days since the last post...
We have been busy interviewing electricians and figuring out what needs to go where. Finalized our cabinetry order yesterday, and today was another busy day of roof demo and floor construction!

The guys are just about done with taking off the front half of the roof and building the floor joists and floors. This covers most of the hallway, back bedrooms, and master closet. Now, the tricky part will be removing the roof over our bedroom and kitchen, and putting in the floor joists there - that'll be the job for this week.

More roof demo...

After a weekend of calm and clean-up, it was back to business with yet more demo of the roof.

The roof ridge is almost gone, and Vince is hoping to get some floor joists started tomorrow!

The roof comes off!

Framing is just about DONE downstairs. Our bedroom has a wall made of black plastic. The kitty is freaked.

So, just another day of construction... but today? The roof is coming off! Our stairs actually go somewhere - to the big hole in our roof!!
